Definition of Panic and Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety Disorder is a term, which applies to the presence of various symptoms of anxiety and fear related to anxiety. Emotions present in an anxiety disorder can go from nervousness to terror, and requires treatment either medical or through guided self-help.
Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety disorder is generally a common chronic disorder also known as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and is best described as a long-lasting anxiety which is not focused on one particular situation. People with anxiety disorder generally tend to manifest preoccupation and become overly concerned with daily matters that have little or no meaning to common people.
Though the fear and emotions are very real, sometimes the reasons that cause the anxiety can be easily eliminated by correction if the thoughts that cause anxiety, and through other small daily techniques that can help relax and gradually eliminate anxiety disorder.
General Anxiety is generally diagnosed as such when the problem persists for a period of more than 6 months, however, it is advisable to seek help or self-guidance during that period, as anxiety is an emotion which can be reduced without medication of any sort. If not treated, can lead to a depressive state raising the levels of anxiety and causing panic.
Panic Disorder
A Panic and Anxiety Disorder is diagnosed when panic attacks happen related to anxiety disorder. A panic disorder requires that those panic attacks have chronic consequences such as a high level of preoccupation related to the attacks, significant behavior related to the attacks such as change in certain routines and lifestyle and persistent fear of future attacks. Furthermore, people who suffer from panic disorder also suffer from some of the symptoms outside panic attacks, which raise the level of anxiety. It is very common for people suffering from panic and anxiety disorder to notice changes in the normal body functions such as an increase in heartbeat, which may lead to misinterpretations, to think that something is wrong with their heart, and that they are going to have a panic attack.
Panic and Anxiety Disorder Treatment
Panic Disorder can be treated by working on the panic and anxiety disorder together. 
The most effective treatment consists primarily of lifestyle changes, which includes psychological treatment and behavioral changes.
Generally, the panic and anxiety disorder can be treated within 8 weeks of following a self-guided program, but in severe cases it is advisable for people suffering from panic and anxiety disorder to see a doctor before initiating any self guided treatment.
